The artist’s behind SilverBarn in the County. They met in the Fine Arts department of Concordia University in 1988 and have lived and worked side by side ever since. After moving to Prince Edward County in 2016 they left the city behind and found a more peaceful life in the village of Wellington. Their dream of renovating the barn and creating their ideal studio was completed in October 2023 and SilverBarn in the County was born.The SilverBarn is both the private studios of Michelle and Pierre as well as the space where Michelle teaches pottery.Michelle has been playing with clay for over 35 years and teaching for 25 both in Toronto and Prince Edward County. After over 30 years retailing and wholesaling she has moved from production work to making art for art sake while mentoring her students with a passion for the craft.
